Abstract: Apple dehydration is one of the good alternatives to reduce the effects of perishability and seasonality, generating a product of high nutritional value and avoiding losses. The process of drying is usually done in a cabin dryer, however, the use of this method is restricted to home processing and small agroindustries, stimulating the new technology research, such as the use of the domestic microwave apparatus. The study has as general objective to analyze the technological viability of the use of domestic microwaves for the apple dehydration in comparison to the use of cabin dryer. The drying of the apple cv. Fuji More rings was made by the cabin dryer at temperatures of 60, 65, 70 and 75 ° C and in the microwave at 160, 240, 320 and 400 W, with defined times through the curves obtained in the pre-tests. Afterwards, they perform physical-chemical analyzes of moisture, water activity, ash, pH, soluble solids, lipids and acidity. All the treatments ended up promoting the reduction of moisture and water activity of apples to safe levels, with increase of soluble solids contents. Analyzing these results and considering the response of the apples to the different dryings, two treatments were defined: one in the cabin dryer and the other in the microwave, at 70ºC and 320W, respectively, in order to produce samples for sensory analysis. Through the acceptance analysis it was observed that the final products obtained in the two methods did not differ significantly among themselves in the appearance, color, odor, flavor and overall evaluation attributes, differing only in texture, being the greater acceptance in the dehydrated product in cabin drier. Among the forty untrained tasters, 67% demonstrated a preference for the sample obtained in a cabin dryer and 33% for the sample dehydrated in a microwave. It is concluded that apple dehydration in microwave is a viable method, however, it is recommended the continuity of studies that evaluate other variables, as well as the performance of tests at the time of practicing explained, since each model of equipment is unique and has a distribution of radiation and different powers.

Abstract: Water is key element to preserving life on Earth. However, the man is, many times, as an inexhaustible well, using it often not rational. Thus it is fundamental and necessary to warn and cause cultural changes, seeking awareness of the population about the rational use of water, avoiding waste. In order to take advantage of rainwater for use in animal consumption and agricultural spraying, aimed to design a catchment and rainwater storage system on a farm. The property in question located in the municipality of Estrela Velha-RS and, although not currently suffer from the lack of water, aims to reduce the cost of tap water and use natural resources more efficiently. Through technical visits the property, estimated the monthly and annual water
demand by agricultural activities. We carried out the water balance and obtained result as a reservoir through 9.68m³ Rippl method, choosing then be implanted reservoir 2 with 5 cubic meters each. Calculations of other system components, such as rails, horizontal conductors and vertical conductors disposal reservoir were also performed, and the frequency indication cleaning and maintenance to be done in the system. The estimated implementation cost totaled $ 4658,5 and the payback time on investment (Payback) on 9,7 years with the current price of $ 2,5 per m³ of water charged by the community. With the implementation of system ownership cease to consume network m³ 16 cubic meters of water monthly average, which will help reduce
the public water consumption and will eventually serve as a model to be implemented in other properties.

Abstract: A major source of power and work in rural areas is the agricultural tractor. The proper use and tires, both its constructive type and its internal pressure are factors that significantly affect their performance, and other factors such as ballasting and forward speed change their traction capacity. This study aims to evaluate the
kinematics relationship of a 4x2 tractor equipped with front wheel assist (FWA), varying the internal pressure of the tires on three conditions (24 psi, 18 psi and 12 psi) and the amount of liquid ballast in three levels (75%, 50% and 25% of the internal volume of the tire filled with water). The tests were performed on the asphalt track in order to standardize all tests. Once collected and analyzed, the following results were found: the internal pressure and ballast distribution exerted significant influence on the cinematic relationship, showing downward trend when the internal pressure and ballast were also diminished. The interaction between these two factors also significantly alter the kinematics relationship, presenting the best condition for
the situation of 75% of liquid ballast in the front and rear tires, with internal pressure of 18 psi, with a value of 1.0018, and the worst condition setting up 50% of liquid ballast in the front and rear tires and internal pressure of 12 psi, with a value of 0.9924.

Abstract: The soil is a natural body that covers the Earth´s surface. It is formed by rocks weathering. The formation material has fundamental importance in its physical features. The quality and quantity of agricultural production depends on the soil properties, especially of ways which they are processed, worked on, improved and protected. As to the culture of tobacco (nicotiana tabacum), which is a plant cultivated small farms in which the labor used is basically familiar, low productivity of crops are related to the soil compression. This phenomenon causes a change in physical properties increasing its density and promoting high resistance in penetrating the root in the soil. Its cultivation is very hard, but if were well planned, the farmers would have a good economic return. In this way, The main objective of this work is to evaluate the soil physical parameters, in planting line and between lines of tobacco culture, in three different culture systems, at 50 days after its transplanting. The specific objectives are analyze bulk density, penetration resistance and soil texture. The study was done in Novo Cabrais City, located in the Central region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The experimental design was completely casual through a system with three treatments divided into 21 plots of 9 m² each. The treatments were conventional tillage (PC), minimum tillage (CM) and no tillage (PD). The textural analysis showed that the layer of 0 to 40 cm has a low difference, the average has 51.18 % of sand, 32.65 % of silt and 16.17% of clay. These values interpolated in the Atterberg´s triangle, classify soils as frank texture. Density tests were carried out between lines of treatments PC (1.72 g/cm³), CM (1.69 g/cm³) and PD (1.66 g/cm³) exceeded the critical limit for root development which is 1.65 g / cm³. The soil evaluation, in tobacco planting line, the treatments did not affect the soil density. On the soil penetration resistance analysis, none of the assessments exceeded the tolerable critical limit of plants, with the highest values found between tobacco line. No tillage had the lowest values of resistance to penetration and density, it is the cropping system that preserves the physical characteristics of the soil and when combined with crop rotation increases tobacco production.
