A temática da violência no texto dramático Roberto Zucco, de Bernard-Marie Koltès e a produção de sentido.

Abstract

This study presents an analysis of the dramatic text Roberto Zucco, by Bernard-Marie Koltès, a French playwright died in 1989, with the objective of verifying the presence of the theme of the violence. This theme exercises relevant role in the historicity in the dramatic way and has in the tragic gender its greatest referring. Therefore, firstly it was accomplished a study of the specificities of the theatrical text, recovering the main theoretical matters involved in its historicity, as well as its process of sense construction. Soon afterwards it was accomplished a rising of the critical fortune regarding the author and the violence theme, in order to supply the necessary theoretical basis for the accomplishment of the work. After that stage it was accomplished, the analysis of the formal aspects of the work, such as: characters, time, space, division and nomination of the parts of the text, and plot. Based on the crossing of the raised theoretical referential and the identified formal aspects it was possible to discourse regarding to the way as the theme of the violence emerges from Roberto Zucco. In the last stage of the dissertation, we presented some considerations concerning to the metacognitive strategies raised by the reading of the work, in order to investigate the articulation of those strategies with the process of significances built in the reading of this dramatic text. When analyzing the work it was possible to verify the author's intention in approximating the protagonist Roberto Zucco to the illustration of the hero, without linking him to an moralizing optics. He presents a way to act that is opposed to the socially accepted one. He commits vile crimes frigidly and without a solid motivation. The character is shown fully conscious of his attitudes, however he is unable to modify, as well as the tragic character, that is invariably attached to his destiny.
