A utilização das redes sociais online e o processo de constituição do adolescente : um olhar para o sujeito na era da cultura digital.

Abstract

With reference to the significant increase in Internet use in recent years, highlight the online social networks, currently the most widely used worldwide, mostly by teenagers. In this context, it has become compelling, the psychological and social point of view, to understand how teens relate to this tool and its perspective on it, as well as a possible constitution of teenagers from online social networks. Understanding adolescence as a time of life filled with great movements and transformations, we can see this as the most likely age group to the duality between the benefits and the consequences related to the use of social networks online for different purposes and, therefore, research it is the need for a specific look that understand the possible relationship between the subject of the constitution process in adolescence from the specifics of the era of digital culture. Faced with this scenario, they sought to possibilities to understand how teenagers are from their practices in online social networks and understand their positions against the use of them. This study used a qualitative research method, from the technique of focus groups, in which it adopts the use of field diary and thematic analysis of the constructed data. Participated in these focus thirteen teenagers groups, aged 14-17 years in a school in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul state. From the focus groups were addressed four categories encompassed adolescents in the context of online social networks. In the first category titled "Subject that is built in and through communication," a discussion of the main points that allow us to perceive the subject teenager in several facets that intertwine communication is performed. In the second category, "The construction of virtual subjects", it is an articulation of the common features between the ways of relating and living online. In the third category we discuss about building subject "dependent," noting in its aspects of a subject issues strongly linked to online social relations, through the excessive use of these devices. In the fourth category sought describe about "building a modern subject," by which I addressed issues of a modern subject, which is built by capitalists, egocentric, private and competitive influences.
