A (in) eficácia do PROERD como política pública de prevenção às drogas e à violência no município de Capão da Canoa : RS.

Abstract

Nowadays violence and drug use have worried society. People suffer from the most varied forms of violence on a daily basis, however, this is not a current issue, it is a phenomenon that has been increasing for a long time. The increase in urban violence and violence in society is reflected in the school environment, which is even more worrying. In this context, it is necessary to understand aspects about the family bond, its evolution and transformation in form and structure. The family is the greatest base for society, since children and adolescents acquire their principles and values for the conviviality of adult life in this environment. Nevertheless, other aspects influence the life of the young, there are factors external to the family that can influence them. Thus, the present research, through the use of the deductive method, allows to understand the evolution of families, the school structure, as well as to analyze the factors that lead to violence and lead children and adolescents to the world of drugs. With the use of the qualitative method, through questionnaires applied in schools, it was sought to analyze the (in) effectiveness of the Educational Program of Resistance to Drugs and Violence - PROERD as Public Policy of Prevention in the municipality of Capão da Canoa /RS. In this sense, a field research was carried out, with students and teachers of the municipal network of the municipality, comparing students who participated or not in the Program, in order to verify the effectiveness of PROERD. It could be seen that the Program achieves most of the objectives outlined, but it can be improved in some points, in particular, by worrying about the inclusion of students with special needs as well as reaching a spectrum of children.
