Serviço social no sistema prisional : vivência de estágio na Penitenciária Estadual de Venâncio Aires - PEVA.

Abstract

The motivation for this work is directly related to the relevance of the work of the social worker, emphasizing the importance of the same in guaranteeing access to the rights of citizenship to all beings, being one of the principles of human rights defense. A qualitative documentary research was carried out, with content analysis, based on the process of supervised internship in Social Work carried out at the PEVA. The research consisted of records and documents accumulated by the intern during the four internship levels between 2015/2 and 2017/1. This paper aims to answer how the experience of the student was constituted in the work processes with which she became involved in PEVA during her curricular internship. Thus, the research is divided into three hypotheses, where two of them are discussed together: Correlation of forces and the work processes of the trainee: the problematization of the interventions and the understanding of the recidivism research carried out as a subsidy for the intervention project, where the results show that the academic has managed, within its possibilities, to concretize the internship in the penitentiary. Force correlations exist, and other ways of meeting demands can be found when necessary, and the research and intervention project have helped the trainee to better understand the lives of detainees and to be able to refer them to the semi-open prison so as not to recidivism occurs.
