Endocrown em cerâmica para dente posterior : estudo de caso.

Abstract

Nowadays, with the steadily search for aesthetic, new technologies and protective materials of the tissues have arisen, promoting the development of adhesive restorations for posterior teeth. Endocrown is a technique created to restore teeth treated endodontically, where the space of the pulp chamber is included in the preparation, excluding the need of an intraradicular pin. Based on this, the present work aims at checking if the indirect restoration with ceramics is an effective treatment for posterior teeth, when well appropriate. It was a clinical study of oral rehabilitation through a ceramics endocrown restoration made of lithium disilicate cemented with dual self-adhesive resin cement. This technique includes the most recent news of the Dentistry, the intraoral scanning. The dental ceramics was developed through the CAD-CAM system. The clinical study was carried out in the Dental Clinic at the University of Santa Cruz do Sul - UNISC. There is a photographic record from the beginning to the final treatment. The aim was achieved. The aesthetic and the masticatory function were reestablished. The most possible part of the tooth structure was preserved.
