Narrativas de mães de crianças com transtorno severo do desenvolvimento psicológico : o impacto do diagnóstico.

Abstract

The research consists in identifying the psychological aspects that appear in the mothers narratives, due to the diagnosis of Severe Disorder in the Psychological Development of their children. We seek to identify the perceptions that emerge about the conception of real and idealized son and the changes in the daily life of these women, articulating with psychoanalytical studies that work with this theme. Five mothers of children with Severe Disorders in Psychological Development, including autism linked to other comorbidities, participated in the study. The interviews were recorded and transcribed, using the method of analysis of narratives. With the analysis of the data, three categories were found for discussion: Sensitivity, anguish in the face of prejudice and search for belonging; Difficulties, search for information and ambivalent feelings regarding diagnosis and reconstruction of dreams and constitution of a singular language with the child.
