O acompanhamento de famílias com crianças e adolescentes em situação de acolhimento institucional : uma experiência a partir do CREAS de Santa Cruz do Sul.

Abstract

This work is the result of the Compulsory Internship in Social Work, held at the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance - CREAS Santa Cruz do Sul through the Specialized Protection and Care Service to Families and Individuals - PAEFI. The main focus was the accompaniment of families who were with children and/ or adolescents institutionally welcomed, either in the period of reception or after the reception. Based on the elaboration, execution and evaluation of the Intervention Project, the objective was to identify vulnerabilities in the constitution and maintenance of family ties, as a way of understanding the reasons for institutional reception; investigate the socioeconomic profile of the families being followed in order to know the reality in which they are inserted; and, to verify the contribution of the accompaniment to the families in the process of family reintegration through the Social Assistance Network. For research and analysis, we used a quantitative and qualitative approach from documents produced at the end of each of the four levels of an internship. Based on this available material, three hypotheses were elaborated and investigated and systematized. Among the results, it was identified that the monitoring of families was fundamental in the process of family reintegration, and that the work performed by CREAS with the other services of the social safety net, form the integrality of care and contribute significantly to the lives of users. Thus, the results obtained enabled the concrete approach with the professional work of the social worker, as well as the understanding of the social reality of families and individuals who participated in the realization of this academic work.
