Superação e transcendência do binarismo sexo/gênero em Água Viva.

Abstract

In a globalized world in which the boundaries between the public and the private, the Self and the Other, the Masculine and the Feminine are increasingly diluted, it is not surprising that it is possible to observe in the literary canon of contemporary Brazilian literature texts that deconstruct many of the traditional, rigid and dogmatic concepts we have about reality and the very concept we have about our identities. Different and increasingly effective technologies for altering bodies that act by making changes at the molecular level are available on the world market and are increasingly consumed and disseminated among the population. It is already possible, in this way, to abundantly change and overcome the barriers once considered rigid and fixed that we had about our bodies and identities. The main theme of this work is the overcoming of the sex/gender identity fixation in Clarice Lispector’s book Água Viva. The present work proposes initially to bring several of the concepts and arguments of different authors about what is supposed to be a gendered identity, later thought as gendered and even more contemporaneously considered as an effect of institutions of power - something alive, timeless, malleable, fluid, plastic and technological. Finally, we will analyze Clarice Lispector’s work Água Viva under the prism and perspective of authors who discuss identity from the perspective of the sex/gender system, authors who seek to think about the identity issue beyond something solid, rigid and stable, interpreting the literary artifact in the light of the proposed concepts of diferente authors like Simone de Beauvoir, Hélène Cixous, Paul Preciado, Donna Haraway, Judith Butler, Teresa de Lauretis, Joan Scott, among other.
