O mago da minha rua : uma abordagem fenomenológica da consciência criante do poeta.

Abstract

This dissertation originated from a writing impulse, motivated by the study of a large part of the work of Gaston Bachelard (1884 – 1962). Its phenomenological perspective, in which the experience of reading poems is a gateway to a dreamlike past, awakened the desire to follow and record the memory-images activated through the reading/rereading of my poems, not yet published, arranged in the book Bicicletário – Rua Cruz Alta. In the process, the poetic purpose of this exercise of language came to fruition through the essay genre, which, metaphorically, functions as the ground that supports a risky attack. Escaping the traditional examination of the lyrical genre, through my memories, perceptions and admirations, I was able to validate a path of written conversation (action) in which my journey as a boy and poet invited the reader to their own private images, enabling a unique understanding of the cosmos of childhood and its poetic spaces. In this sense, the internal space of the house and the external space of the street played, in this work, a role as a primordial germ for the substantial vigor of the daytime dream, the intellectual activity that allows us to escape immediate reality and explore the domains of imagination. The range of nuances of these insistent spaces recorded in the verses of my poems materialized in words as I brought my thoughts closer to the concept of poetic daydreaming, entering this house again and playing again in this street, describing in this (re)visit the power of renewed images. The examination of the images of the house and the street, also in communion with the studies of the Mexican poet and essayist Octávio Paz (1914 – 1998), brought the archetype of the magician closer to that of the poet, attesting in this analogy to the charming power of the well-meditated word. Finally, by following the movement of the creative imagination in language, I learned, like a master, at the same time I was writing, the process to achieve inventions that are only possible through words. In the end, after daydreaming about my uncovered youth path, I experienced enough vigor to risk saying that the poem is born from a biography – even if it is an invented biography – in contact with another biography, from the one who, emotionally available, reads it.
