Responsabilidade social : o encontro entre empresas e a sociedade civil.

Abstract

This master's degree dissertation has the proposal to investigate the enterprise social responsibility; particularly the relations between private companies and organizations of the civil society consist. It was opted for this, to investigate the format of the relation between these two institutions without lucrative ends that act in the social area, in the children, adolescent and/or adults attendance in the city of Santa Cruz do Sul, that are the Communitarian Association Pro-Support of Under Age (COPAME) and the Institute Humanitas Faap (IH), and twenty private companies, from different sizes and activities, that make these actions possible. The collection of data was elapsed in two forms: interviews had been taken with the two civilian society organizations with its legal representatives and with the companies questionnaires had been applied. The analysis of the resultant data, carried out in three chapters, allowed the conclusion that the relations between companies and social organizations are ruled by the philanthropic presence, where the companies allow different resources (financial, material and / or human) – in accordance with its activity and its size - without presenting relation with the social institutions. The study concludes that these resources are still available in specific projects chosen by the companies, which makes ack of autonomy by part of the social organizations in the management of these resources.
