Pelas fendas do trabalho vivo : textos, contextos e atos na atividade de Vigilância em Saúde do Trabalhador.

Abstract

The reflections here presented come from a process of analysis of the activity of Worker’s Health Surveillance, in the extent of the Unified Health System. In its origin there are the perception of a discontinuity among accumulated knowledge on the actions of worker’s health surveillance and the unfoldings that the life requests from the ones responsible for executing them. The methodology was the crossed self-confrontation, being its basic resource filmed images of the work activity. The vigilant workers play the scenes of the activity and their respective analysis. The Worker’s Health Program of Volta Redonda/RJ was the scenery from where arose the analyses. The approach to the theme focused on accumulated notions in the field of the worker's health, such as health, work and risk, putting them in dialogue with contributions originated from the Italian Psychology of Work, the French Psychology of Work, the Activity Ergonomics, the Ergological perspective and from the approach of the Clinic of Activity, specially in what they converge to the development of the notion of activity. In that trail we have found tracks that are presented in three acts of the alive work. In such actions, we considered the complexity of that activity evidenced in matter by the characteristics of the professional genre of worker’s health surveillance and of its discontinuity with certain antecedent norms. Among such characteristics, the need to be in solid bases contrasting with the stylization process when putting themselves in someone else’s place, as well as the interdiction of the professional controversy that sends to a possible closing of that genre on itself, blocking its development, being that one of the unfoldings of the institutional fragility in which operates that activity. Paradoxically the language constitutes a fundamental resource in that occupation. The action of vigilance among the vigilant workers appears predominantly as application of knowledge, relegating their potentiality to produce such knowledge to a secondary plan. The Knowhow to do of prudence, developed by the different characters that co-inhabit the action, in order to face the risks to their health seem to be disjointed taking them to keep apart. We consider this a worthy point of attention: the creation and development of investigation-intervention-formation strategies in health that privilege the knowledge originated from the experience.
