Comparação entre sistemas CAD/CAM : uma revisão de literatura.

Abstract

The evolution of technology nowadays has become an essential factor for the development of agility and performance of diverse functions within industries. In dentistry, this trend has motivated the development of systems that allow the production of restorations way to accurately and quickly through the CAD/CAM systems. Conceptually, CAD refers to the exact areas of computer systems, while the CAM is responsible for the production of three-dimensional manufacture. In this way, it is proposed through a literature review the differences, advantages and disadvantages of some CAD / CAM systems currently marketed by determining inherent features and characteristics of each equipment. They were consulted in this literature review the SciELO databases, PubMed, GoPubMed, LILACS and available in the CAPES journals. The use of websites for research on the different brands used in this work were of great value to the study. Books and articles used (national and international) are from the period 2005 to 2015, as well as some information from classic articles from the year 2000. The publications were used in Portuguese and English. It is estimated that the differences between the systems embodied in this work are linked to accuracy, precision, image detail, handlings implicity and speed of production that guide the professional's choice. The main drawback of these systems refer to the initial investment, the cost of supplies of equipment and the need for more current studies related to new equipment on the market.
