Abstract: This work focuses on analyzing the compliance of the Federative Republic of Brazil (the State of Brazil) with the sentence issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the case of Favela Nova Brasilia v. Brazil in February 2017. The objective is to investigate the effects of the sentencing decision handed down by the I/A Court H.R., and the extent to which it was in fact complied with by the State of Brazil, especially concerning the structuring aspects in relation to the practices of police operations in the country. Based on this, considering the material and symbolic effects of the decision given, questions arise as to what measures were imposed in the sentence, how they were effectively complied with and whether they had any structuring impact on the conduct of such police operations. The approach method used is hypothetical deductive, with bibliographical research. The first chapter consists of conceptualizing human rights and determining their importance in the construction of contemporary societies. The second chapter examines the emergence, form and organization of the inter-American system, especially its main organs. The third chapter, finally, proposes to carry out an analysis of compliance with the conviction handed down by the Inter American Court, in order to determine what the Brazilian State complied with and learned from the conviction. Ultimately, it is possible to state that the conviction handed down by the I/A Court H.R. in the analyzed case is of utmost relevance to the debate regarding the legality of the way police operations are currently carried out in Brazil, because, as verified throughout this work, there is a repetition of conducts by the country's public security agents. These repetitions indicate that there is continuous and structuring work to be done in order to ensure the non-violation of the human rights of people who are directly affected by the practice of such police operations.</summary>

Abstract: This monographic work has as its theme the Doctor's Civil (im)responsibility, and aims to analyze the need to promote more direct guidance to professionals. In this context, the problem to be faced consists of analyzing the causes and effects with a view to recognizing or not the existence of civil liability of doctors in current legislation and preventive methods in the doctor-patient relationship. To carry out this task, explanatory research was used on the forms of civil liability, exemplifying its objective and subjective forms, so that, clearly, pointing out the rights and responsibilities of health professionals. The work is divided into chapters, the first containing the analysis of the beginnings of the historical evolution of civil liability and the evolution of medicine and the medical figure, the second being the principles of objectivist theory, bringing the analysis of which responsibility actually encompasses the health professional, and the last chapter is a study on the development of the impacts derived from the judicialization of the doctor-patient relationship in the present day, the principles of the code of ethics and the consumer code, together with the changes to the General Law of Data Protection (LGPD), medical documents and the definition of preventive medical law.</summary>

Authors: Brum, Brunna da Silveira
Abstract: This monograph addresses the analysis of the (im)possibility of applying the Maria da Penha Law to transgender women, justified by the doctrinal and jurisprudential dissonance on the subject, particularly regarding the understanding of sex and gender as distinct and non-synonymous concepts. The general objective focuses on the inclusion of trans women under the Maria da Penha Law's protection. To this end, it is necessary to understand the terminological nuances of sex, gender, gender identity, and transsexuality, analyze the historical context of the Maria da Penha Law, its constitutionality, and its advancements over time, and subsequently evaluate the inclusion of transgender women as recipients of protection against domestic violence. Thus, through the application of the deductive method, it was concluded that transgender women are covered by the protective scope of the Maria da Penha Law, ensuring their enjoyment of fundamental rights inherent to the human person, as stipulated in the Federal Constitution of 1988.</summary>
