Authors: Figueiró, Betina Breyer
Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the level of functional mobility of participants after an acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Methods: Cross-sectional study that evaluated subjects admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a teaching hospital in southern Brazil, from August 2023 to April 2024. Clinical and anthropometric data, pain perception (Visual Analogue Scale), perceived exertion (Modified Borg Scale), medications used and functional mobility (Perme Score), with such measurements being carried out on people of both sexes. Results: Sample (n= 12, 7 males), with a mean age of 64.3±12.4 years, body mass index of 26.9±5 Kg/m2 (overweight) and mobility level of 5 .5±3.2 on the 1st day and 14.4±9.5 on the 2nd day of admission to the ICU. Final considerations: Individuals admitted to an ICU after an AMI experience reduced functional mobility on the first day of admission, however, it improves on the second day of hospitalization. The Perme Score is useful for assessing functional mobility, allowing a comprehensive analysis of your conditions and needs.</summary>

Authors: Schuck, Renata Limberger
Abstract: The study evaluated the efficacy of the combination of LED therapy, Arnica montana and tranexamic acid in the treatment of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation after phlebectomy. The research was conducted with a patient who had hyperpigmented spots on the lower limbs. The protocol included four weekly sessions of LED therapy with blue and red light, in addition to the daily use of Arnica montana lotion 5% and tranexamic acid 3%. The results were evaluated with a caliper and photographic records with a microcamera. The results show a reduction in the size and color of the spots, suggesting an effective and safe combination that can contribute to aesthetic treatments and patient well-being.</summary>
