Acolhimento de migrantes venezuelanos no Brasil : a atuação do estado brasileiro.

Title: Acolhimento de migrantes venezuelanos no Brasil : a atuação do estado brasileiro.
Authors: Moro, Manoela Sanfelice Antonello
Abstract: The present study aims to analyze the policies and actions of the Brazilian State in the reception and integration of Venezuelan immigrants. Initially, based on a theoretical discussion, the phenomenon of international migration is examined from the perspective of International Relations (IR) theories, with particular emphasis on Institutional Neoliberalism. It then seeks to understand the Venezuelan crisis and the political, economic, and social causes behind the mass migration of the Caribbean country’s population to Brazil. Subsequently, the study aims to identify the role of the Brazilian State and International Organizations in the integration of these immigrants and, finally, to examine the challenges and prospects for integrating Venezuelans into Brazilian society. To conduct this research, a qualitative, exploratory approach was employed. The study was conducted through two main methodological fronts: literature review and document analysis. The findings of this work emphasize that, although Brazil has made progress in establishing regulatory frameworks and implementing policies aimed at reception, significant challenges for the full integration of Venezuelan migrants still persist. Among these challenges are difficulties in accessing legal assistance, limitations in labor market insertion, inequalities in access to public services, and the need for greater coordination among different levels of government. Thus, it becomes evident that effective integration depends on continuous and structural public policies supported by a commitment to the promotion of human rights and social inclusion.

Title: A repercussão do holocausto nas relações internacionais : o legado dos julgamentos de Nuremberg na formação do direito penal internacional e nas respostas globais aos crimes de guerra.
Authors: Paz, Suelen
Abstract: This Final Paper analyzes the impact of the Nuremberg Trials on the consolidation of international criminal justice and global security. It begins with the context of the Nazi rise to power and the atrocities of World War II to understand how the International Military Tribunal of Nuremberg marked a turning point in holding individuals accountable for war crimes and crimes against humanity. The objective is to investigate how these trials influenced the creation of international principles aimed at protecting human rights and promoting global justice. The research is qualitative, based on historical and academic sources. The study demonstrates that Nuremberg established fundamental precedents for international law and consolidated the concept of individual responsibility for serious crimes, serving as the foundation for the International Criminal Court (ICC). It concludes that the trials were decisive in shaping a new legal and moral paradigm in the post-war period, strengthening historical memory and the defense of human dignity.

Title: O impacto da disputa pela soberania na terceira guerra civil sudanesa e os desafios da atuação internacional pela resolução do conflito (2023-24).
Authors: Leifheit, Lucas Vinícius
Abstract: The present article analyzes the Third Sudanese Civil War (2023-24), investigating the impact of the dispute over state sovereignty between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the actions of the international community. From a constructivist theoretical perspective, it argues that the conflict is driven by a symbolic and material competition for legitimacy and control of the state, permeated by political, economic, and identity interests. The persistence of this impasse has resulted in the failure of peace negotiations and the exhaustion of external engagement. It is concluded that the international response has been limited and fragmented, marked by a “strategic passivity” in which geopolitical interests and the selective defense of sovereignty norms prevail over effective intervention, aggravating the humanitarian crisis.

Title: Os efeitos das tarifas de importação de Trump em 2025 sobre o desenvolvimento regional do Rio Grande do Sul.
Authors: Souza, Emily Zago de
Abstract: This article aims to analyze the tariff policy imposed by USA President Donald Trump in 2025 and present its effects on the regional development of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The article contextualizes the concepts of regional economic development and international trade, aiming to understand how a policy of another actor in the international system can directly or indirectly affect the economy of a country's region. The methodology is based on a literature review, through the reading of documents, articles, and news items on the most recent events concerning the topic. It also seeks to understand the current scenario based on export and employment data from the most affected areas, as well as the Brazilian scenario, comparing the results to possible means of mitigating the negative impacts on the region. It was concluded that the development of the Rio Grande do Sul region is largely affected by tariffs on its economy, its population, and its territory, and that although a measure is implemented in another nation, it still has an influence on the regions of different countries and their economies.
